12D CHAKRA CLEANSE

Lifestyle, Nutrition and Diet based Recommendations for optimal chakra Health and Healing.

Back in 2012 I began my training and education into the field of personal training.  After I received my PT certification, I quickly moved into Sports Nutrition.

Fast Forward to the present I felt guided to plot out a spiritual based lifestyle, nutrition and diet-based cleanse for chakra healing. It is as follows. Please Enjoy.

   Root:
Located at the base of the spine
colors: red, black
energy focus: Stability, grounding, physical energy, will, security.

Teas and Herbs for Root Chakra: dandelion root, sage, ginger, elderflower

Protein has a grounding effect and strengthens the physical body: Lentils, tofu, black beans, quinoa, amaranth, soy milk, green peas, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, tempeh, hemp milk, edamame, spinach, black-eyed peas, broccoli, almonds, spirulina, tahini, chickpeas, and peanut butter are all excellent sources of vegan proteins. The root chakra’s element is Earth, so therefore a mineral-rich diet creates stability — hence a plant-based diet is recommended.

Red Colored Fruits and Vegetables help the root chakra in many wonderful ways. The root chakra is red, and interestingly, eating red can help regulate the root chakra. Most red fruits and vegetables are a good source of Vitamin C. The root chakra is connected to bone, skin, and the adrenals which all need Vitamin C to thrive. Red apples, strawberries, pomegranates, cherries, tomatoes, red cabbage, beets, and many more are beneficial. Root Vegetables are a vital resource because they are grown in Earth’s soil and contain the grounding and stabilizing energy of Earth. Potatoes, beets, carrots, onion, garlic, and parsnips can have a positive effect on the root chakra.

It is the first chakra. This chakra is responsible for the grounding. When it doesn’t work properly you may feel down, tired, sleepy, fatigued. To balance your root chakra, you need to consume more of these foods: beets, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, onions, radish, spinach and garlic.

  • Bright red foods from the earth (check sugar content if appropriate), including red apple and cranberry, foods with roots such as radishes, red potatoes, beets; red beans and lentils.

  • Red fruits, including watermelon, pomegranate, cherries, all red berries.

  • Food grown with deep tree roots or on a vine. Red herbal teas such as rooibos or hibiscus.

  • Harvest grains and other deeply rooted grains and proteins.

  • Earthly mineral stews and broths.

Beneficial practices:

  • Grounding down to earth by walking barefoot on soil, sand, or grass.

  • Doing strong, grounded yoga poses, such as tree and mountain.

  • Reestablishing roots by learning to forgive those mistakes or transgressions committed by caregivers in early childhood and learning to provide those things that instill a feeling of safety, security, and basic needs being met on a daily basis

Yellow foods: bananas, corn, pineapple, yellow capsicums, chamomile and lemons.

Cacao: dark chocolate helps with mental clarity and causes the body to release serotonin (the feel-good hormone). The flavonoids in cacao have been shown to improve blood flow to the brain and the magnesium in cacao helps to relieve stress and promotes relaxation.

Crown Chakra
Located at the top of the head
color: violet, golden-white
energy focus: Enlightenment, cosmic consciousness, energy, perfection.

Teas and Herbs for The Crown Chakra: lavender, lotus root

(Crown Chakra) – Things like mushrooms, garlic, ginger, onion, lychee, coconut and other tropical fruits help to give you strength and power. If you are feeling defeated or down on yourself then enjoy some white foods and experience a surge in your own inner strength.

Think carrots, mango, oranges, orange peppers, peaches, apricots, and sweet potatoes. Foods rich in Omega-3s, such as salmon, also work well to balance this chakra. Nuts and seeds such as flax, almonds, walnuts, and sesame provide additional fatty Omega-3s, which aid in cardiovascular health and reduce inflammation.

It is the seventh chakra. It is linked to consciousness, inner wisdom, spiritual awakening or enlightenment. The crown chakra is in imbalance when you are feeling defeated or getting down on yourself. The bad news is that it can’t be fixed with physical food. You have to nourish the seventh chakra in spiritual ways. It can be balanced with meditation, prayers, and contemplation. You can also try fasting for 1-3 days. Not eating anything physical can raise the vibration of the crown chakra.

Your diet is very important for the health of your chakras. Chakra Balancing Foods will help you to keep the balance. Try to eat colorfully. And try to introduce a period of fasting into your diet. One day a week is a great way to fast. Or, you can choose to fast three days in a row each month. You can also try a diet where you dedicate a day to every chakra. Enjoy it!

Supportive foods:

  • Aloe Vera

  • Seeds like chia and sesame

  • Bone and vegetable broths.

Beneficial practices:

  • Asking for help from spiritual guides above and all around, including loved ones passed.

  • Gratitude practices.

  • Awareness of breath.
